I have 14 years of experience working with children, families and adults to build healthy boundaries and relationships. My expertise is trauma therapy. I strongly believe that it is a therapist's duty to continue to educate themselves and grow in order to provide the best clinical experience for clients.
In addition to trauma therapy, I have extensive training in helping people with OCD, anxiety, depression as well as helping patients with life difficulties by utilizing exposure therapy. Call me today to see if I am the right fit for you!
My approach to therapy is collaborative and based in a genuine and caring relationship with my clients.
Attending therapy can be very intimidating, especially if you are contemplating therapy for your child. I am a client-centered therapist who believes cognitive-behavioral therapy has been shown to be an extremely effective treatment modality. I am solution focused and strongly believe that the client-therapist relationship and a healthy, positive approach in helping people is of critical importance.
I have over 28 years experience working in the mental health field. I have provided services to adolescents, adults, and families, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma/PTSD, anger management issues, sexual behavior problems (including youth who have sexually offended), drug and alcohol issues, youth conduct issues, and school problems. I have been trained and supervised in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Beck Institute in Philadelphia, which is especially useful with anxiety and depression. I have been trained and certified in Brief Strategic Family Therapy as well as Multi-systemic Family Therapy and enjoy working with adolescents and families.
I have over 27 years of experience working in the community serving both adults and children. I have worked with children who have experienced trauma and who have anger, self esteem, depression, mood disorders, and anxiety issues. I have experience in working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma and substance abuse issues and who have had struggles with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I also have experience in working with children who are on the Autism Spectrum. I am looking forward to partnering with you on this journey.
I am willing to have night appointments. I work with people of all ages. I specialize in anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship concerns, trauma/PTSD, and children on the Autism Spectrum.
Lauren Strickland,
LLMSW
Lauren provides therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with a strong foundation in trauma-focused care. Her areas of clinical focus include anxiety, panic disorder, depression, childhood behavior challenges, and mood disorders. She specializes in supporting clients who have to “keep it together” on the outside while struggling internally, recognizing how suffering in silence can fuel self-criticism, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and emotional disconnection.
Lauren views all behavior as a form of communication and believes therapy should adapt to fit the client, not the other way around. She is deeply committed to meeting clients where they are and walking beside them as they work toward growth, healing, and lasting change.
Her practice is integrative and adaptable, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Attachment Theory. By blending these approaches, Lauren tailors each session to provide strategies, insight, and support that empower clients to better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and build resilience. She recognizes the courage it takes to reach out for support and is honored to walk alongside clients on their journey toward healing.
Kimberly is in many ways an average woman with an amazing story. She is a military wife and a mother of three wonderful children who have all taught
her more grit and resilience than she knew she possessed.
Currently she is a master’s level honor student, and clinical intern with experience working with children, families, and individuals.
Kimberly practices from a trauma informed lens with a passion for integrating evidence-
based practices in a warm, person-centered approach to allow each client the
opportunity to explore previous experiences, learn and grow from adversity, and co-
write a new story for their future in a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment.
In her work with children, teens, and families.
Kimberly’s main goal is to honor the story that each person walks in with, working with stress, transitions, and identity. She takes pride in tailoring the approach to each client, be it a child with anxiety, a parent overwhelmed with daily stressors, or more involved issues such as addiction.
